About me
Hi, I’m Micky Stewart, coach, breath-work facilitator, and former HR executive.
I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, where my early days were spent chasing the dream of becoming a professional Australian Rules Footballer. I also worked in sales leadership in the health and fitness industry.
When that dream ended, I threw on a backpack and spent two years traveling the world, from a ski season in France, pouring beers in the UK, being a beach boy in the Greek Islands, and taking the Trans-Siberian Railway from Beijing to Moscow learning about life (and myself) along the way.
When I returned home, I earned a Bachelor of Business in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, continued playing AFL as a semi-professional athlete, and transitioned into corporate HR. Over the past 15 years, I’ve held senior People & Culture roles at world-class companies like Uber, Booking.com, Deloitte, BHP Billiton, and Stryker.
For the last decade, I’ve lived as an expat in Amsterdam, working in fast-paced tech environments and helping hyper-growth teams scale across EMEA.
During that time, I pushed limits in every area of life professionally, physically, and mentally. I completed an Ironman, coached the Amsterdam Devils AFL team to a European Championship, and served as club President.
But the more I “achieved,” the more disconnected I felt. I said yes to things that didn’t sit right. I ignored my inner voice. I pushed harder but felt emptier. I thought to myself this is not how its meant to feel when you achieve what you thought was “success”. Eventually, I burnt out.
I was living in constant overdrive “always on.” I didn’t understand why I couldn’t slow down or rest. Later, I was diagnosed with ADHD, which helped me make sense of the intensity, energy, and restlessness I had carried my whole life. It gave me insight and eventually, self compassion.
That breakdown became my turning point.
I dove into therapy, coaching, yoga, mediation, journaling, and breath-work. I experimented with everything, a human guinea pig for healing and self-regulation.
My first breath-work session in Costa Rica changed everything. I felt peace for the first time in years. That moment opened the door to real transformation.
Later I trained in Yin Yoga and Somatic practices in Bali, began meditating, spent time in nature, and reconnected with myself. I rediscovered my values. I found clarity.
And I found my purpose that aligned with my strengths and passion:

I’ve since become a certified Coach and Breathwork Instructor, and I blend performance psychology with somatic wisdom and nervous system science.
